Melinda sat upstairs busily fixing her make-up, trying to make herself look somewhat decent. Leo had promised her that he would finally give Jensen another chance, but this time he had to do it right, get to know the family first before he even began to think about having a relationship with his daughter.
She looked at herself in the mirror and wrinkled her nose in distaste at the simple black cocktail dress with white japenese looking petals. She sighed and rushed to the closet, her hair whipping about her as she quickly moved. Jensen would be here soon, and with him his family, they had to get a move on, just had too.

Talley shimmered into the room she and Chris were currently bunking in at Halliwell Manor. They had been spending the past several days there because they thought it would be safer for them. Which it was, by far. She sighed, and got changed quickly, into a pair of black dress pants and a white shirt. Her hair, which was wavy for some reason today, hung on her shoulders. She sighed as she looked at herself, and then put an athame in a hidden pocket in her pant leg. Just in case. She sighed, and headed over to Melinda's room. She knocked on it. "Melinda?" she called, "It's Talley. Chris, Riv, and Wyatt are going to be here in like five minutes, they needed to check something."

Melinda pulled out a red dress and she ran to the door she glanced at Talley and walked back to her closet. "Okay, that's good to know, because the Davis's are to be here in approximately.. six minutes. Aye gods, why is there no dress in here that looks suitable enough. Help!"

Talley smiled, and closed the door behind her. Though she didn't get time to express it, Talley really loved fashion. She looked at Melinda critically. "Alright," she said, "I think maybe navy or maybe dark pants and a blue shirt or something, it'd go great with your eyes. Then again, I'm a Phoenix, so don't count on my opinion too much."

Melinda glanced at Talley after she pulled out some dark denimn jeans and a fading blue shirt. She looked at Talley. "This?" she questioned as she glanced at the outfit. "Trust me, I'm taking anyone's advice right now. This is why mom was lucky to have grown up with two... rather three sisters.

Talley laughed. "I always thought that'd be pretty cool," she said, "I only had a half-brother... and let's just say it's not a pretty story. Yeah, sweetheart, that looks fine." She smiled, and put a hand on her hair.

Melinda rushed into her closet and threw on the clothes before coming out and glancing in the mirror. "Are you sure I look fine?" she questioned glancing nervously in the mirror. She sighed. "I look horrible, he'll never like me at this rate."

Talley smiled kindly at the girl. She was getting closer to the Halliwells quickly, and was glad of it. She liked them a lot. "Sweetie, you look gorgeous," she said, "And if he doesn't think so, he's probably not good enough for you. Looks don't matter when it comes to love, anyway, sweetie. There are so many other things."

Talley smiled at her and hugged her back. "It's no problem, sweetie," she said, "It really isn't." She smiled, and put a hand in her dark hair. She smiled. "Anyway," she said, "If any demons attack, I've got a little plan for them." She put her foot on the bed, and lifted her pant leg a bit, revealing the concealed athame. She smiled.

Melinda smirked. "Good, it'd be all I'd need, demonic activity when trying to impress the family of perhaps a future love." she sighed and glanced at Talley. "Okay... shall we go?" she questioned.

She sighed and nodded. She was a little nervous about eating with Piper and Leo. She wasn't an idiot. She knew that niether Elder nor Charmed One were fond of Phoenixes. She knew that Wyatt, Melinda, and River knew she was no harm to them, but she didn't know if Piper or Leo knew that. She sighed. "Let's do it," she said, 'And let's hope your mother won't blow me up."

Melinda giggled at the last added thought before she rushed downstairs with Talley just as the door bell rang. "I can't do this." she muttered as she tried to start back up the stairs once more.

"Oh, no you don't, missy!" said Talley, grabbing her arm and starting to pull her down the stairs, "I'll run upstairs and call for Chris and Wyatt, they're late... and you let them in and stuff. That, or I can get the door for you." She looked at her, waiting to see what Melinda would do next.
